A daylong retreat to explore mindful living and find ways of staying resourced in our busy or stressful lives.

Join us for an exploration of the core foundations of Mindfulness that inform how we relate to our body, feelings, thoughts, and engagements in the world with greater awareness and self-care. 

 

Mindfulness is far more than a quick fix tool to reduce stress, but a living practice and art that can support the growth of greater resilience, emotional balance, and wellbeing in several areas of our lives.  Most importantly, it is a practice that allows us the potential to live our lives more fully and deeply
 

Through accessible practices, creative exercises and reflections, we will explore how we can bring mindfulness to our own unique life situations, to create more balance, kindness and sustainable wellbeing in our lives and our relationship with the world.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

 

This day has been funded for those who sustain society, if you are a caregiver, NHS worker, educator or help protect the enviroment, this day retreat is for you!

It is suitable for anyone who has an interest in learning mindfulness and integrating a practice into their daily lives. This course is open to beginners and those seeking support in refreshing and renewing their practice. All backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome.

 

LOCATION

We will spend the day in Beckenham Place Mansion, a beautiful building in the middle of South London's largest public park. There is a cafe on-site with hot drinks and a selection of  vegetarian and vegan sandwiches.

FACILITATED BY

                         

 

 

Ethan has been facilitating mindfulness groups and retreats for over a decade. He currently teaches mindfulness and Buddhism at the nationally acclaimed Sharpham Trust, and local meditation groups around the UK. He spent five years training at Plum Village with the internationally recognised mindfulness teacher & Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. His teaching helps people touch more calm and ease in their everyday lives by bringing awareness and appreciation to simple daily activities, retreatants especially love his guided meditations!

Lucy is a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher, she also works as doctor in the NHS and  knows first hand the pressures of daily life and the ever present threat of burn-out. Mindfulness and self-compassion practices helped her meet the challenges of a stressful job and her passion is to help others incorporate these practices into their lives. She is part of a nationally acclaimed team delivering mindfulness for burnout retreats, and has been trained directly by the internationally renowned pioneers of self-compassion Kristin Neff and Chris Germer.
